Gota patti

It is a type of embroidery which has its origin in Rajasthan. It is made by using appliqué techniques where intricate patterns are created with silver and gold ribbon.


One can add some quirky edge to their looks by wearing a kalamkari dupatta. Kalamkari literally means drawing with pen. They have to go through several steps of dyeing, bleaching, block printing, hand printing and starch to make the final fabric.


It is a type of art which is done by using natural dyes and elements like nib pens, twigs, matchsticks and others. They are mostly practiced in Mithila and Nepal. One can stand out wearing this because of its eye catching patterns.
